Helps you watch sports online like you were in the front row
Windows 8 / Windows 7 / Windows Vista / Windows XP
The FirstRow Sport App is a program that allows you to stream a number of sports events directly to your computer. The program includes many categories, including football, American football, basketball, rugby, hockey, golf, boxing and motor sports. This app works by embedding streaming links from other sources. None of the sports streams are hosted by FirstRow; they act as a middleman between the viewer and the source.
Each category lists out every sporting event of the day in a clear, concise manner. For example, if you click on football, it will list all the matches starting with those occurring currently. Once you click on a link, it will give you many streaming links from which to choose. The quality of the streams seems to vary considerably. Most of the streams have a grainy quality and low resolution, making it difficult to see what is going on. Other streams have a persistent lag and may freeze during inopportune moments, which is frustrating. Worst of all, each stream opens many advertisements. These ads are disruptive and cover up the entire screen. Fortunately, the ads disappear after about 30 seconds. The ads are designed to trick the user into thinking they need to upgrade their flash player, so be careful with what you click.
The best part about FirstRow is that it carries seemingly every live sports event you can imagine. Even obscure events such as the WNBA basketball games are broadcast live. If you are in a pinch and either cannot afford cable or are away from your house, FirstRow is a great way to stay connected to your favorite sports team. The pages load fast. Be warned, however: the streams have a tendency to shut down and you will need to start hunting for new links. If you are patient and are not concerned about high definition quality, this program will suit you well. The best way to view streams would be to go directly to their streaming website using Google Chrome and the Adblock extension to prevent getting the annoying ads.
